He’s the founder of Hot Pepper Studios located in Austin, Texas. As a pro bassist, cellist, guitarist, producer and arranger and singer-songwriter, he’s established his Jazz, Rock, and R&B career as a humble musician who loves humanity. JJ’s credits include Sixpence None the Richer, Plumb, Fernando Ortega, Buddy Quiad, Biscuit Bros, and Kevin Max. J.J. says, “Just give me the key.” He’s the recipient of an Emmy Award, Dove Award, and Trailblazer Award. Right by his side, is his brilliant wife, Melissa, who is running her own race of changing the world one student and teacher at a time! She works in the field of education as a curriculum writer and teacher to the teacher! She shares in our episode that she writes the “what” and the “when” for things in the classroom and describes her incredible dedication to developing strategies to scale innovation and best practices which carry a ripple effect on the hearts of young people and beyond! Her curriculum creates synchronous, asynchronous as well as in-person learning experiences for people to dream, discover, design, and refine their craft to help individuals and their teams to flourish.
