Managing Our Instincts 2.0 With Kole Dugger & Ben Valdez, Personal Trainer CPT, CES, CNS
In this 2.0 episode I'm honored to sit down again with my biological son, Kole Dugger and my spiritual son, Ben Valdez! In our last conversation, Ben and Kole were heading into a rock climbing competition they had both been preparing for; Ben as the competitor and Kole as his wingman and social media manager.
Jump into the day of the competition with us as we wind our way through the unexpected, how crucial the community is around you, and learning to manage our instincts; the power of acknowledging our emotions and learning to give them away. Listen as we learn why this competition offered enormous, hidden opportunities for growth in Ben's life and how stepped into the moments of transformation! We discuss our mental hygiene and why investing in our self and soul care prevents burn-out, equips us to lean into the pain vs. pushing through it, and often the perception of calm to others isn't necessarily what we are personally experiencing on the inside.
Catch up on Ben's life in the previous episode here to learn how he transitioned from one stage of his life which became the springboard for his career as a phenomenal Personal Trainer, holding many certifications and an extensive background in understanding the mind/body connection while building incredible relationships. He shares insight regarding the baseline of where we begin and how we breakthrough to a greater capacity in our physical training and wellness in life. Ben also shares the impact Soul Care continues to have on his life today and that it’s essential to living a healthy existence. Kole connects us to how their friendship began, a training modality that supports his mental health and spiritual connection to God and himself, and why he believes the agreements we make can cause us to accept less than the best version of ourselves.
We believe this could be the best part of your day!
Thank you for listening friend!
